My training- Qualified in reflexology with the IIHHT (International Institute of Health & Holistic Therapies) and hold the qualification status MICHT (Member of the Institute of Complementary Health Therapists). Member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) and am fully insured. Recently (2009) joined the CNHC - Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council - which offers voluntary self-regulation to an expanding number of complementary therapies.
- Studied Lynne Booth's basic and advanced courses in Vertical Reflex Therapy (www.boothvrt.com), including specific Endocrine treatment, including an introduction to work on the nails.
- Achieved a diploma in Neuro-reflexology taught by Nico Pauly, a Belgian manual therapist who proved scientifically the connections between specific nerve points on the feet with related areas in the body. Nico teaches mainly in Europe but has taught this course for three years in Britain. There are plans for a fourth course. Please contact Lynne Booth's office for details.
- In 2008, Master Class with Chris Roscoe in Reflexology and Sub-fertility qualifying me to treat cases of subfertility and to advise on strategies, eg: the 4-month pre-conception plan.
- Working With Trauma Through Bodywork course at the Jing Institute of Advanced Massage, Brighton 2009.
- In January 2009, Diploma in Indian Head Massage completed with Mary Atkinson, author of 'The Art of Indian Head Massage – Health and Beauty at your Fingertips', Carlton Books, 2000.
I use a variety of techniques, therefore, and choose according to what is needed in different circumstances. I may offer Reiki therapy to interested clients as it is useful in all cases of imbalance and I have found it a particularly gentle solution to post traumatic stress.
